AIYIMA A07 Pro Bluetooth 5.2 Amp with aptX HD, Line Out and Bass/Treble Controls
AIYIMA A07 Pro pairs a TPA3255 power stage with Bluetooth 5.2 and aptX HD. It adds bass and treble knobs, an RCA input and a line out for a subwoofer.
AIYIMA A07 Pro: TPA3255 stereo amplifier with Bluetooth 5.2, tone controls and a line out
The AIYIMA A07 Pro is a compact Class D stereo power amplifier built on the Texas Instruments TPA3255 chip. AIYIMA pairs it with a Qualcomm QCC304X Bluetooth 5.2 receiver (SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD), an RCA input for wired sources and a line out for an active subwoofer or a second amplifier. The store page rates output at 300 W x 2 into 4 ohms and lists a working supply range of DC 24 to 48 V at 5 A or more. AIYIMA’s store sells three A07 models today, the Pro, the MAX and the Premium, and only the Pro lists Bluetooth.
Key features
- Two inputs. RCA (AUX) for wired sources and Bluetooth 5.2 for phones, tablets and computers. A front toggle switches between Bluetooth and RCA, and a second toggle switches the amp on and off.
- Bass and treble knobs. AIYIMA lists bass at plus or minus 12 dB and treble at plus or minus 10 dB. The 12 o’clock position is described as straight-through, but reviewers found no center detent, so you set flat by eye.
- Line out. A jack on the rear panel feeds an active subwoofer or the next amplifier in a 2.1 or 4.1 chain. Whether the output follows the volume knob is disputed (see the reviews below).
- Socketed op-amps. NE5532 as shipped. AIYIMA names OPA2604, LM4562, JRC5532 and OPA1612 among the replacements.
- Distortion and noise (manufacturer figures). AIYIMA quotes distortion of 0.002% and a signal-to-noise ratio of 90 dB.
- Compact case. 4.5 x 1.3 x 6.6 in (114 x 32 x 168 mm) and 1.4 lb (635 g), according to AIYIMA’s product images.
Power supply and package
The A07 Pro is sold without a power supply or with a 32 V 5 A, 36 V 6 A or 48 V 5 A supply. AIYIMA lists DC 24 to 48 V at 5 A or more as the working range. As with every TPA3255 amp, the supply sets how much power you get at 4 ohms. Audio Science Review tested an earlier A07 (not the Pro) on the stock 32 V 5 A supply and measured 77 W into 4 ohms, and the reviewer Pavel Macura measured 64 W at under 0.2% distortion on a 27 V supply. Neither test is of the Pro, so read them as a hint that the 300 W label is a maximum, not what a 32 V supply delivers.
Who it is for
Desk and small-room listeners who want a low-cost Bluetooth amp for passive speakers rated 4 to 8 ohms, with tone controls and a subwoofer feed in one box. It suits people who set the tone knobs once and leave them. For speaker ideas, see our best budget bookshelf speakers guide.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you need a remote, a USB, optical or coaxial input, or tone controls that click into a flat position. AIYIMA’s page lists no remote, and Prime Audio names that as a downside. Audio Science Review criticized the missing tone-control defeat. The Fosi BT20A Pro has tone knobs that reach flat, and the Fosi BT20A MAX adds a remote, as our three-way comparison explains.
What independent reviewers found
Audio Science Review (May 2023, unit drop-shipped by a forum member) measured competent noise and distortion, enough 4 ohm power for desktop use and a frequency response that depends on the speaker load. The reviewer would not buy it because of the missing tone-control defeat, and the amp’s protection circuit stopped the test at 1% distortion, so a 0.5% figure was used. Prime Audio (May 2023, unit supplied by AIYIMA) liked the detail and the stage and listed the missing remote and undetented tone knobs as downsides. Prime Audio found the line out fixed, while HiFiReport says a 2024 update made it follow the volume knob; AIYIMA’s page does not say, so check before you rely on it for a subwoofer. We have not tested this unit ourselves.
Where to buy
The AIYIMA store sells the A07 Pro with or without a power supply. The Amazon listing is the alternative if you prefer Prime delivery and returns. We show no price here because it depends on the supply you pick and changes often.
Common questions
Does the AIYIMA A07 Pro have Bluetooth? Yes, Bluetooth 5.2 with SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD. The A07 MAX and A07 Premium on AIYIMA’s store do not list Bluetooth.
Does it have a subwoofer output? It has a line out for an active subwoofer or another amplifier. Reviewers disagree on whether the level follows the volume knob.
Can I set the tone controls to flat? Only by eye. There is no detent at the center, and there is no switch that bypasses the controls.
A07 Pro or Fosi BT20A Pro? The Fosi has tone knobs that reach flat, and the AIYIMA has aptX HD and a line out. Our comparison guide lays out both.
What reviewers consistently praise
- Competent measurements for the price. Audio Science Review (May 2023) measured good noise and distortion for a budget TPA3255 amp and enough 4 ohm power for desktop use.
- Detail and soundstage. Prime Audio (May 2023, unit supplied by AIYIMA) liked the detail and stage, and in its comparison with the Fosi BT20A Pro described the AIYIMA as airier and more precise.
- Features in one small box. Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX HD, bass and treble knobs and a line out are all on AIYIMA's page, with socketed op-amps for experimenters.
- Close to the Fosi in a blind test. HiFiVision (September 2023) found the original A07 and the BT20A Pro indistinguishable apart from a subtle bass difference in a level-matched blind comparison.
Common critical notes
- Tone controls without a defeat. Audio Science Review and Prime Audio both complain that there is no center detent and no way to bypass the controls. The Audio Science Review reviewer said he would not buy the amp for that reason.
- Load-dependent frequency response. Audio Science Review found that the response changes with the speaker load.
- No remote. AIYIMA's page lists none and Prime Audio lists it as a downside.
- The line out. Prime Audio found it fixed in level; HiFiReport reports a 2024 update that makes it follow the volume knob. AIYIMA does not say.
- Power ratings are optimistic. Tests of the earlier A07 gave 77 W (Audio Science Review, stock 32 V supply) and 64 W (Pavel Macura, 27 V supply) into 4 ohms. Those are not A07 Pro results.

Verdict from the reviews: a low-cost Bluetooth amp with tone knobs and a line out, held back by the missing tone defeat. Choose it for the aptX HD and the line out, and see the three-way comparison before you buy.
